Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is available during the school year at the 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM/Noon Masses (please check weekly schedule in the bulletin).
Children (4-10 years old) arrive with parents and join the assembly for introductory rites. After the opening prayer the celebrant invites the children to attend their own special Liturgy of the Word in a designated meeting area. Here they listen to God’s Word in a way suited to their abilities and interests. At the conclusion, they join their parents for the entire assembly’s celebration of the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Note that Children’s Liturgy of the Word is certainly a part of our children’s faith formation. It is a way to help children appreciate the beauty of the liturgy in a way more suited to their needs. Your child is always welcome to remain with the entire assembly.
