Fr. Marcin Szymański O.P. (both name and surname are rather unpronounceable, but you can try with “Mar-chin”) is a native of Poland. During high school he started attending Dominican Youth Ministry in his native Warsaw. He liked it so much that he joined the Dominican Friars just after high school at the age of 19. During his studies, Fr. Marcin lived in Dublin, Ireland for a year. He returned to Ireland after his ordination, serving the Polish community in Ireland for two years. In 2013 he was moved to Seattle, where he served as Associate Pastor at our Blessed Sacrament Parish. From 2015-2017, he served at Prince of Peace Catholic Newman Center at the University of Washington. Presently, he lives in Salt Lake City ministering at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Newman Center and Parish. In his spare time, Fr. Marcin likes hiking, books, and games (computer, board, card etc.).
